Clothing

Please ensure children are dressed appropriately for ballet:
  • hair should be neatly tied up, preferably in a bun.
  • voile skirts need to be at knee length and no longer
  • character skirts need to be mid calf or shorter
  • ballet belts are necessary from Grade 1 onwards
  • socks and tights must be regulation ballet wear

As the weather cools down, please consider sending your child in with a cross over cardigan and tights. Cross over cardigan and tights must be regulation and well fitting. All uniform is available from Diana at Theatre Dancewear (01276 23800).

Behaviour

Please make sure your children behave appropriately while in the church building.

Please make sure you leave the church landing as you found it. Please take your cups and rubbish with you.

Please do not allow children to play on the stairs or banister. Sooner or later an accident will happen. Make sure it is not your child and you don't witness it!

Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

Covering up

Please consider bring your children already dressed in ballet uniform to avoid stripping off in front of strangers and members of the public.

In cooler weather, BBS tracksuits are perfect for slipping over the top of ballet uniform. In the Summer, Jazz pants and BBS t-shirts are always very popular and practical. These are both available from Diana at Theatre Dancewear (01276 23800).

This advice is given for the protection of your children and out of respect for the adults within the church building.

Toilet breaks

Please could all parents ensure that their children have visited the toilet before their class is due to start.

Babies classes

If potty training please put on pull-ups or nappy on for the duration of the class.

Please can you refrain from sitting in on the baby classes unless it is an end of term watch day or you are just settling in on your first day at the school.  I am happy to work with parents to help children become more independent, but for the majority who do not need Mum or Dad there, it is very distracting.
